Tom King, a Silver Spring resident, is interviewed by The Archaeology Channel.

An archaeologist and anthropologist with more than 40 years experience practicing in regulatory compliance, Dr. King discusses how federal historic preservation laws fail to accomplish their goals.

King has written about federal historic preservation regulatory compliance in books, journal articles, and in various places on the Internet, including the ACRA-L listserv and his relatively new blog. The interview stems from his 2009 book, Our Unprotected Heritage: Whitewashing the Destruction of Our Cultural and Natural Environment (2009, Left Coast Press).
